RAZR V3c Hacking Adjusting Resources.

NOTE: FIRST AND FOREMOST, JUST BECAUSE I MAY HAVE DONE SOME OF THIS TO MY PHONE DOESN'T MEAN YOU SHOULD. YOU MAY VERY WELL RUIN YOUR PHONE.  YOU WILL PROBALBY VOID IT'S WARRANTY.  PLAYING WITH IT IN THIS WAY CERTAINLY DOESNT MAKE VERIZON HAPPY.  DON'T BLAME ME OR ANYONE ELSE IF YOU SMOKE YOUR PHONE.

Howard Forums V3c Wiki page.  This is a good place to start it has what appears to be the *most* up to date information.

v710.org has a page too, but since he/they don't actually have a V3c you need to dig around and verify what you read here.
Hack the RAZR.com Interesting site.
The hidden menu:

Flip open the phone. Type #073887* quickly on the keypad. If entered successfully a screen should pop up asking you for the Security Code (000000) If not, try again.

Easy way to remember the code is that it spells out #0setup*

Turning off EVDO on an Verizon Flashed V3c (.02)
This method worked for me:

# Enter the Hidden Setup Menu (steps provided above)
# Scroll down to Test Mode# Enable Test Mode# Exit to Main Screen
# Hit CLR button and then Left Softkey quickly
# Screen Should Turn White and Say "FTS"
# Hit Right Softkey 3 times until Top of screen says "ServOpt: NoChg"
# Scroll Down to "HDR Pref:" and change to "cdma"
# Leave "HDR Hybr:" set to ON
# Hit "Exit" Left Softkey
# Wait for it, wait for it, screen should freeze and then freak out a little (Patience).

(No really wait for it)

# Hit CLR button and then Left Softkey
# Go back to the hidden menu and disable the Test Mode.

Why do this? The EVDO network can suck the battery life right out of the RAZR, if you don't use this functionality you might want to turn it off.

OK, Now that I've downgraded my RAZR and resurrected the Bluetooth functionality that was meant to be there in the first place life aint so bad.

The Verizon UI still blows but it is what it is for now. The next dilemma is: Why I am stuck with only (4) Ring personalities?

  • Master Volume
  • Alarm Only
  • Vibrate Only
  • All Off

Hrms, this has to change. The other thing that is a serious issue for me is that mine seems to mysteriously be getting set to "ALL-OFF", or "ALARM ONLY" allot.

I don't know if this is a Verizon only issue or not. But you can toggle your ring mode using the outside buttons. I could do this with my v710 too but it never mysteriously changed.

These buttons seem to protrude quite a bit and I'd like to disable this feature in the RAZR.

Any suggestions?
