Ok, look it’s like this.

The Internet is wonderful, so is [tag]online billing[/tag] and so are [tag]online payments[/tag].

But until a company figures out the following I will not convert to internet ONLY billing and [tag]statements[/tag]:

• You may not purge my billing information, EVER.
  • You may however archive it, if you let me search it and bring it back for FREE
    - OR -
  • You send me paper statements as well.
• You also give me a reliable statement, printable from any browser.
• It must print nicely with proper page breaks.
• You send that to me in Adobe Acrobat format at my request monthly. Don’t make me come fetch it.
  • And you still you may not purge my account information EVER. I should be able to come and recreate these when ever I want for what ever period I want for FREE.
• Before you archive any of my data, you send me copies of what you are about to archive (again) because, damnit, I lose stuff.

There is nothing worse than trying to do your taxes, balance a check book, claim a rebate, or research a billing problem only to find that the company you’re having issues with purged your account data.

For the average user this amount of data is minimal. Sure scale it up for a million users and it’s not trivial, but if you want to get away from paper and postage, the cost is in fact minimal to treat us right.

Until then you can keep printing and keep paying for postage so I can keep the paper copies.

Don’t put the burden of printing on me especially when what you want me to print looks like crap.
