Palm Folio Wireless Email – Dumb

This thing makes absolutely NO sense.

The Palm Treo with Good[TM] is still the best Mobile email device out there.

But there’s a reason I use that for mobile communications and not a small laptop. Because I don’t want to carry a small laptop with me. If I did there are tons of great UPC’s and lightweight laptops that are far better suited than this thing.

About the only thing positive about this is the price, $499 isn’t too shabby.

But if Palm has proven anything in the past it’s this:

1) They can’t build a browser to save their life, so I would expect the web experience on this to suck too.

2) We’re still waiting for a 700p bluetooth fix and it’s been out a year now.

3) If it’s Palm it’s disposable.

The Foleo, er Dumbeo.
