I was able to successfully pair up a Motorola HS850 earpiece with a dell latitude laptop, the trick was to download the toshiba bluetooth drivers and firmware update off dell's website, delete the headset (which the braindead ancient windows drivers were only listing a link as a serial device, not an audio headset) flash the firmware for the bluetooth module, install the toshiba drivers, and then re-pair the HS850 with the laptop. I can now hear music with the earpiece, and the Cisco IP communicator works like a charm. Flipping the boom mike back closed turns off the earpiece and drops the connection between it and the laptop. Give it a try and let me know if you have any problems.
